At the end of this knowledge-based activity, participating individuals should be able to:
- Describe the pathogenesis, epidemiology, and clinical presentation of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
- Discuss and compare the currently available RSV vaccines, including mechanisms of action, dosing/administration, and safety considerations.
- Review clinical evidence and current guideline recommendations supporting RSV vaccination in different populations.
- Given a patient case, provide an appropriate recommendation on RSV vaccination.
