  • Describe factors associated with an increased risk of acute COPD exacerbation
  • Review parameters to assess exacerbation severity at the point of care
  • Outline pharmacologic and respiratory support treatment options based on severity of exacerbation
  • Develop individualized treatment and discharge plans for a COPD exacerbation based on patient-specific, symptom-specific, and severity-specific factors
